Delaware Senior Portrait Photographer – Session Details
As the premier senior photographer in Delaware (including Middletown, Newark, Wilmington and Dover), I make a priority of really getting to know my clients and to understand your vision. I am not just your photographer, but your personal consultant and stylist. I will be there guiding you through each and every step of your senior portrait session. And I also make sure that you are fully prepared, relaxed, and ready for our shoot come the big day. In working together, we will capture senior portraits that are uniquely you. With my expertise, I will deliver you with beautiful and captivating images that capture you, your personality, and interests. All in a way that are tailored to you and your unique style to help tell your personal story.
Here is an overview of the typical process of how my sessions work and the consultative approach that I provide along the way:
Pre-shoot planning process
I am a senior photographer that services all of Delaware, including Middletown, Newark, Wilmington and Dover. My services also cover southeastern Pennsylvania and south and central New Jersey,
Prior to the shoot, I will be your personal advisor through the entire process to get to know you better and to make your shoot personalized and uniquely you.
After our initial consultation meeting and booking, I will help in discussing and planning the following topics.
Planning Session
Prior to our session date, I will have a phone meeting (or in person if you prefer) with you and at least one parent to answer any questions, get to know one another, and fully plan out your shoot. We will discuss things such as:
1. Your vision and ideas that you have.
2. Your interests, activities, and accomplishments and how to capture all of this in a way as unique as you are.
3. Photo styles (such as traditional, editorial, fashion, etc.) along with an optional add-ons that you may want.
Outfits
We will select the perfect fashion outfit and clothing to fit your aesthetic or desired theme for the photoshoot. Also, think about accessories to bring for each look as well. We will talk about clothing choices that really add to a senior portrait session and things you should avoid. The free Senior Portrait Style Guide will help give you lots and lots of ideas!
Locations
Selecting the right location for your shoot is important to capture stunning pictures that really stand out and get noticed. I will cover location ideas that I know and also want to know locations that mean something to you. As a senior photographer in Delaware, I am familiar with a variety of locations in Wilmington, Middletown, Newark and Dover.
There is also the option to have an additional photo shoot held in a professional photography studio. This gives you the opportunity to capture a stylized look or provide you with traditional yearbook photos.
Your Senior Experience session
The big day is finally here and it’s time for your customized Senior Experience photoshoot!
With our pre-shoot conversations all done, you will be fully prepared for shoot day and know exactly what to expect. That means that you can feel relaxed and not have any uneasiness from not knowing what to expect. Also, our planning conversations mean that you and your parent) and I have gotten to know each other a bit and you can relax and be your very best since you will not feel like your photographer is someone that you just met for the first time.

Your Photoshoot Day!
Senior Experience sessions are usually scheduled either in the early morning or in the late afternoon and early evening when the sun is lower in the sky. This gives a softer light to avoid creating harsh shadows on you. I will also use additional portable lighting to get the perfect balance of natural and ambient light and just enough flash to balance out the lighting to give you sharp, clean pictures that really jump out to you.
Depending on the package that you choose, sessions are two to three hours long and will use locations that offer a variety of looks and backgrounds.
Optional Professional hair and make-up services
My Senior Experience portrait sessions provide optional add-ons to help make your session customized, personal, and memorable.
One such option is to have
professional hair and make-up included and provided by my official hair and make-up artists. This option means that your session would be limited to late afternoon time slots and not early morning to allow time for these services the day of our shoot. Please allow 2 hours for the hair and make up session plus adequate travel time to the photoshoot location the day of the shoot.
Ordering and receiving your products
As a senior photographer in Delaware, Dreamscape Studios is a full service photography studio that specializes in producing heirloom art products such as high-end studio prints, framed wall art, luxurious canvases, and elegant photo albums and books.
The images that you choose for your products will be professionally edited and touched up. Each will be printed by professional labs on materials of the highest quality designed to last for many, many years. The images selected for your products will also be provided to you in a web-sharable digital version that you can use to share on your social media.
Post-Shoot Ordering Appointment
Once the photoshoot in completed, we will schedule a follow-up ordering appointment a few days later so I may prepare your evaluation gallery of pictures for you to review. We will meet up at your home or a nearby eatery where you can review the photos from that day, see sample products, and place your order for the products you wish to purchase. Payment is due at the time of the ordering session and payment plans are available if needed.
I accept cash, credit cards, checks, and payment apps such as Venmo, Apple Pay Cash, PayPal and Zelle. Please note that extended payment plans on products require automatic credit/debit card deductions.
Order Pick-up or Delivery
Once your order is placed, it can take a couple of weeks for the products to be ready. I choose a few labs to work with that offer the highest quality results using the best materials in their products.
Once I have received your products from the labs I will notify you promptly. I can schedule a time with you to bring them by your home or the items can be picked up in person at a mutually agreed upon location, date and time. I will be there with you as you unbox them to make sure that you are delighted with your products and to answer any questions.
